Coming Soon: LAS Links Results
In late January and early February, all English Learners in Kindergarten-12th Grade took that annual LAS Links Assessment. This assessment gives us information on the level of English language your child has attained. Results are expected to be delivered to the schools in late May, and parents should expect to receive those results before the school year ends.
If you have any questions about your child's results, please contact me here at school.
New EL Standards adopted in Indiana
Beginning with the 2014-2015 school year, the state of Indiana will begin using the WIDA (World-Class Instructional Design and Assessment) standards for English Learners. These standards will help teachers to better understand what their English Learners can do at their current level and help them bridge them to the next level of listenening, speaking, reading, and writing in English. For more information on the WIDA standards, click on the WIDA Standards pageLink on the left-hand side of this webpage.
Below are the definitions of the performance levels (1-6) of English Learning. These numbers should correspond to your child's levels they receive on the LAS Links annual assessment.
